To provide a content recommendation system that recommends good-quality information which conforms to a user's interest and purpose without preparing a recommender.
The content recommendation system includes a content acquisition history holding means 5 which holds a content acquisition history associating retrieval conditions used for acquiring content with the content, and a content retrieval processor 104 which refers to the content acquisition history and recommends the content which relates to the retrieval conditions from the user, in compliance with a request from the user for the acquisition of the content by means of the retrieval conditions. When there are a plurality of contents to be recommended, the content retrieval processor 104 refers to the content acquisition history, and determines an order in recommendation of the contents in accordance with the number of the contents acquired by using retrieval conditions relating to the retrieval conditions from the user.
