Abstract:
To provide an optical module where design freedom in thinning the module in the direction of its optical axis can be increased.
An optical module 7 has a lens group 21; a lens holding body 22 for holding the lens group 21; a base 23 for lens, holding the lens holding body 22 so as to be movable in the direction of the optical axis of the lens group 21; a motor 13, including an output shaft 13b extended in the direction orthogonal to the optical axis of the lens group 21, for rotating the output shaft 13b; and a transmission mechanism 53 for converting the rotation of the output shaft 13b into translation motion in the optical axis direction to transmit to the lens holding body 22.
