Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-purpose chair frame enabling a user to sit or lie on the chair in improved postures with a reduced sense of fatigue. SOLUTION: This frame has a backrest frame 9, a seat frame 20 and a step frame 24, and the frame condition of the chair can be changed from a bed mode to a sitting mode. In the bed mode, the backrest frame 9, the seat frame 20, a footrest frame 22 and the step frame 24 are flush with one another and kept almost horizontal. In the sitting mode, the backrest frame 9 is standing, the footrest frame 22 hanging down, the step frame 24 in the horizontal condition, and the seat frame 20 sloping backward from the front end.
