In terminals connected through a network, a terminal 10 of a management side changes or controls (lock-out) local account information, and a terminal 15 on a side controlled corresponding thereto changes or controls local account information of a computer owned by the individual terminal. In the change of local account information, a change designation date can be set. When access to a table 14 storing instructions of changing or controlling the local account information in the terminal 10 of the management side (acquisition of information) cannot be made from the terminal 15 of the controlled side, lock-out of a local account for disabling log-on or operation by the local account is executed in the terminal 15 of the controlled side.
