Abstract:

To provide a lactic acid bacterium having higher bile acid bonding capacity when compared with lactic acid bacteria known in the past.

A Leuconostoc sp.B0321 strain, a Leuconostoc sp.B0811 strain, a Leuconostoc sp.B0911 strain, and a Lactobacillus plantarum B1021 strain of which the each has the high bile acid bonding capacity and a 16SrRNA comprising a specified sequence, and analogous strains thereof are provided, respectively. Further, food, such as bread, yoghurt, pickles, and pizza, which contains the strain and a prophylactic for arterial sclerosis which contains the strain as an active ingredient are provided, respectively.
