To provide a rotor for a brushless motor that prevents damage to a magnet, and the brushless motor.
The rotor 16 includes the magnet 32 and a cover 38. The magnet 32 is housed in a housing groove 29 formed on a rotor shaft 18. An end face 32a of the magnet 32 in the axial direction of the rotor shaft 18 is provided apart from inside side surfaces 35, 36 of the housing groove 29. An inner peripheral face 32c of the magnet 32 is provided apart from a bottom face 29a of the housing groove 29. An outer peripheral face 32b of the magnet 32 projects from an opening of the housing groove 29. The cover 38 covers the outer peripheral face 32b of the magnet 32. An axial end of the rotor shaft 18 of the cover 38 is bent towards an inside face of stepped recessed portions 30, 31. An inner peripheral face 38a of the cover 38 is brought into contact with the outer peripheral face 32b of the magnet 32 in a pressed manner.
