Abstract:

To recover zinc-containing dust in exhaust gas of a rotary hearth type reduction furnace reducing a mixture of iron oxide particles containing zinc and particles mainly composed of carbon in a high quality state, and to miniaturize an exhaust gas treatment device.

In exhaust gas treatment of a rotary hearth type reduction furnace 2 reducing a mixture of metal oxide containing zinc and particles containing carbon, the exhaust gas treatment device is composed of an exhaust gas flue horizontal part 10, a waste heat boiler 12, a heat exchanger 13, and a bag filter type dust collector 14. An exhaust gas flow velocity when passing through the waste heat boiler 12 is 2-8 m/s, an exhaust gas flow velocity when passing through the heat exchanger 13 is 2-7 m/s, and an exhaust gas/water contents ratio in the bag filter type dust collector is 40 vol.% or less.
