Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP4328907
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1132551 Super-conductive alloys; heat treatment GENERAL ELECTRIC CO 16 March 1967 [29 April l9 l2294/67 Headings H1A A5 and A4D A super-conductor comprises an alloy of a leadindium matrix with a dispersion of superconducting tin particles. In the embodiment, a body comprising 57 atomic per cent lead, 22% indium and 21% tin was solution treated at 190‹C, quenched and aged for one hour at room temperature which resulted in tin being precipitated discontinuously in lamellar form in a Pb-In matrix. The construction increases the critical current which increases with a rise in temperature; curves showing the variation of magnetic hysteresis of the sample with temperature and magnetic field are given.
