The vehicle drive device 1B is provided with: a closed type case including lids 2, 10 for storing rotation electric unit for driving the vehicle and cases 4, 8; and a plurality of pressure release valves 250, 252, 254, 256 provided on the closed type case. Mounted directions of the pressure release valves 250, 252 are different from each other, and mounted directions of the pressure release valves 254, 256 are different from each other. The closed type case includes a partition wall having a communication passage for partitioning a first space for storing a motor generator MG1 and a second space for storing a motor generator MG2. The pressure release valve 250 of the plurality of pressure release valves is provided in the first space part. The pressure release valves 252, 254, 256 are provided in the second space part. Accordingly, raising of an internal pressure is certainly prevented, and an insulation material of an inexpensive grade becomes usable.
