To display an insertion support image necessary for supporting the insertion and a medical reference image necessary for manual operation in one display means by easily switching the images based on a prescribed condition for support.

An image processing part 17 has a frame image reproduction display function 17a for reproducing and displaying a VBS image, a thumbnail generation function 17b for generating a thumbnail of the VBS image, a thumbnail registration/deletion function 17c for registering/deleting the thumbnail, a support suspension condition setting function 17d for setting a condition for suspending the support for suspending the insertion support, a support suspension condition detection function 17e for detecting generation of the condition for suspending the support, and a display image shifting function 17f for switching the display image when generation of the condition for suspending the support is detected.
