Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a liquid to be irradiated with an ultrasonic signal by various irradiation intensities and angles. SOLUTION: When an input electrical signal is applied to a first input interdigital electrode 2, a non-leaking acoustic wave is excited on a piezoelectric substrate 1. The non-leaking acoustic wave is detected and amplified by an output interdigital electrode 4 as a delayed electrical signal. A part of an amplified signal is re-applied to the first input interdigital electrode 2, and the remaining part is sent to a modulator 7 as a carrier signal. The modulator 7 modulates the amplitude of the carrier signal, in accordance with an inputted input message signal and an AM signal is generated. When the AM signal is applied to a second input interdigital electrode 3, a leaking acoustic wave is excited on the piezoelectric substrate 1. The leaking acoustic wave is irradiated into the liquid as a transverse wave.
