To provide a technology for carrying out SIP communication with higher security and saving resources of a NAT/FW apparatus required for opening a pin hole.
A SIP communication apparatus 10 compares "a Global IP address and a Global port number" after conversion acquired when a message passes from a Private network through a Global network with "a Global IP address and a Global port number" acquired when a message passes from the Global network through the Private network. When they are not identical to each other, the apparatus 10 registers "the Global IP address and the Global port number" to a database 110 as a set of the IP address and the port number used for media transmission/reception. When they are identical to each other, the apparatus 10 does not register them to the database 110.
