To provide the method of achieving accurate alignment even when winding a core wire existing between the metal mold forming rolls, and an apparatus for the same.
The method of spirally winding around a pair of metal mold rolls 2, 3 arranged in parallel and given a fixed space the core wire 8 at a specified pitch comprises the steps of installing a rotatable guide roller 4 having a series of spiral grooves 5 between the rolls 2, 3, fixing several sites in a group of the core wire toward a longitudinal direction at the start of winding between the metal mold rolls 2, 3, forming the guide core wire 7 by distributing the fixed positions 10, 11, 12 in the longitudinal direction of the wire, fitting the guide core wire 7 in the spiral groove 5 of the guide roller 4, moving the core wire 8 by rotating the roll to an axial direction of the roll.
