To provide a primer-forming coating material for a metallic film, capable of forming the metallic film having excellent smoothness and resistance to chipping, to a coating obtained by using the same, and to provide a film scarcely forming a crack, etc.
This primer-forming coating material for the metallic film comprises a hydrophilic polyrotaxane, wherein the hydrophilic polyrotaxane includes a cyclic molecule, a straight-chain molecule which encloses the cyclic molecule in a skewering state, and sealing groups which are arranged both terminals of the straight-chain molecule and prevent the cyclic molecule from separating and at least one of the straight-chain molecule and the cyclic molecule has a hydrophilic modifying group. The primer-forming coating for the metallic film is obtained by using the primer-forming coating material for the metallic film. The primer film for the metallic film is obtained by using the primer-forming coating for the metallic film. The laminated film is obtained by using the primer-forming coating for the metallic film and then sequentilally forming a primer film, a metallic film, and a clear film on a coated material.
