To provide a thin antenna for realizing thin thickness and widen the category of transmission/reception radio waves by forming two monopole antennas capable of receiving circularly polarized waves on a sheet-like dielectric.
In forming the thin antenna 10 for receiving circularly polarized waves with a cross monopole antenna 10C consisting of the two monopole antennas 11, 12, the monopole antennas 11, 12 are disposed so that the axial line of one of the antenna element of one of the antennas substantially orthogonally cross the axial line of the antenna element of the other antenna, and the antenna elements are connected to a combiner or a distributor, and a phase shifter for phase matching is disposed between one of the antennas and the combiner or a distributor. The monopole antennas 11, 12 are formed on one surface of the sheet-like dielectric 14, and a grounding pattern 60 is formed on the other surface. A transparent film may be used for the thin sheet-like dielectric 14. Another antenna can be provided closely to the cross monopole antenna 10C.
