Abstract:
To provide a tire having a reduced weight, decreased rolling resistance and improved steering stability without lowering durability.
The rubber composition for the tire comprises 100 pts.wt. of a diene rubber, and incorporated therewith, 20-120 pts.wt. of an inorganic filler and 5-70 pts.wt. of a polypropylene powder. Preferably, the polypropylene powder has a particle size of at most 500 μm and is highly crystalline. Preferably, the highest temperature in kneading processes of the rubber composition for the tire is 110-165°C and not higher than the melting point of the polypropylene powder.
