To provide a fully solid-state type dimming mirror and a manufacturing method thereof etc.
Disclosed are a fully solid-state type dimming mirror optical switch element which has a multi-layered thin film formed on a transparent base material, the fully solid-state type dimming optical mirror optical switch element having on the base material an ion storage layer, a solid electrolyte layer, a proton injection layer and a dimming mirror layer using a magnesium-nickel based alloy thin film, and a method for manufacturing the dimming mirror optical element. Further, provided are the method for manufacturing the fully solid-state type dimming mirror optical switch element in which an ion storage layer, a solid electrolyte layer, the proton injection layer, and the magnesium-nickel based dimming mirror layer are laminated on the base material, its application products, and a high-performance optical switch elements for optical fiber communication.
