Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide USB connecting equipment, with which a user can easily select and designate a function to utilize by transmitting descriptor information corresponding to a set function to a computer when one function is selectively set by USB connecting equipment having plural functions together. SOLUTION: The USB connecting equipment (electronic camera 10) having plural functions together is provided with a communication means (USB controller 49) for exchanging information with a computer 35 by communication based on a USB communication standard and initializing a USB communication line and a storage means (ROM) for previously storing the descriptor information expressing the respective functions and when one function is selectively set out of the plural functions, the communication means (USB controller 49) reads the descriptor information corresponding to that function out of the storage means (ROM) and transmits it to the computer 35 so that the user can easily select and designate the function to utilize.
