To provide a MRI apparatus which can realize a high SNR (signal/noise ratio) by increasing the number of measurement data without the substantial extension of a sequence repetition time TR.
When a high-frequency magnetic field is repeatedly impressed, a gradient magnetic field pulse which has a symmetric impression pattern including two reversals of polarity is impressed between one high-frequency magnetic field impression and the next high-frequency magnetic field impression, and the pulse sequence to measure one echo signal is executed, the measurement of a nuclear magnetic resonance signal is commenced before the first reversal of the gradient magnetic field pulse having the symmetric impression pattern and is completed after the second reversal, and the data on a track including a closed loop passing through the origin of a k space is acquired from the one echo signal.
