To provide a display panel capable of obtaining novel appearance, by contriving constitution of the display panel, and a manufacturing method therefor.
This display panel is constituted to provide a metallic glossy tone of half mirror layer 3 in a scale 21 comprising a protrusion 24 projected to a visible side, on a substrate 20. The scale 21 is thereby visible as a glossy aluminum color, when a periphery of a dial 2 is bright. The scale 21 is transmission-illuminated by light from a light emitting diode 6 arranged in a backside of the dial 2, when the periphery of the dial 2 is dark, to be displayed luminescently by a white color. Metallic tone of ring parts 30 are provided in outer circumferences of the scales 21 and a pointer 8 out of the the dial 2, and the metallic tone of ring parts 30 are constituted of a protrusion provided in the substrate 20 itself, and a metallic glossy tone of half mirror layer provided on a surface of the protrusion, as same as the scale 21.
