Abstract:
To provide a mouse which has melanocyte in the skin in the approximately same amount as that of human, and can be used as a laboratory animal used for developing medicines for treating skin diseases, cosmetics for beauty, and the like, and to provide a method for making the same.
This mouse has the melanocyte in the skin and gives a fertilized egg deposited as an accession number: NITE P-653. The method for making the mouse having the melanocyte in the skin includes a step for transplanting the deposited fertilized egg into the oviduct of a pseudopregnancy mouse, or a step for the back-crossing of the described mouse to an arbitrary laboratory mouse.
