Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the information quantity of a control information recording area by improving S/N of signal detection by differentiating the width of a pre-groove between information which is to be recorded in a user recording area and information to be recorded in a control information recording area. SOLUTION: In an optical information recording medium for recording address information to be recorded in the user recording area of the optical information recording medium by the pre-groove (guide groove) by wobbling it based on this address information, at least one of control information to be used for the control of recording and reproduction, the copy managing information of the optical information recording medium and the contents protection information of the medium is recorded by the pre-groove (guide groove), where it is made to wobble in a meandering state, based on format information in the control information area of the optical information recording medium in advance as pre-format information.
