To provide a polyester staple fiber-based woven or knitted fabric used for inner and outer uses and suitable for uses in interiors, auxiliary materials, night clothes, and the like, such as towels, interlinings, mats, and sheets.
This polyester staple fiber woven or knitted fabric is characterized by comprising air-interlaced spun yarns containing hydrophilic compound-graft polymerized polyester staple fibers and having an official moisture regain of ≥1.5% and an anti-pilling property of the third grade. The method for producing the polyester staple fiber woven or knitted fabric is characterized by weaving or knitting spun yarns having 30 to 350 fuzzes having lengths of 1 to 3 mm per 10m and <15 fuzzes having lengths of 3 to 5 mm per 10m into the woven or knitted fabric.
