To provide a particle size distribution measuring instrument capable of obtaining an accurate parameter of an average particle size or the like in an optional point, as to an atomized particle group.
In this particle size distribution measuring instrument provided with a light source part for emitting a laser beam to a measuring part dispersed with the particle group, and a detector for detecting an intensity distribution of scattered beam of the laser beam, and for measuring a concentration and a particle size distribution of the particle group, using an output from the detector, the light source part and the detector calculate the concentration of the particle group, and the concentration Ci in every of particle size divisions Di, based on the particle size distribution, while repeating the parallel moving and rotation, so as to prepare a CT image (CT1, CT2 to CT30) about the concentration of the particle group in the every of particle size divisions. The particle size distribution in each point (j, k) is found based on the CT image, and the average particle size in the each point is found based on the particle size distribution in the each point.
