Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible tube which can substantially shorten injection cycle time by saving time for vulcanization, release molded products from the dies with ease and satisfy required deformation performance. SOLUTION: A cylindrical section 3 having a specified internal diameter and many flanges 7 spacedly arranged at a fixed pitch in the axial direction of the cylindrical section 3 over hanging from the external peripheral face of the cylindrical section 3 are integrally molded by means of thermoplastic elastomer injection. The internal diameter of the cylindrical section 3 includes a draft. Therefore, when a tube 1 is bent, only small bending occurs at each valley section 9 of a tube wall on the bending compression side, forming a smoothly bent section without remarkable local bending as a whole. Since vulcanization is not required for molding, injection cycle time is reduced, and there is no undercut between a core and tube, facilitating die releasing.
