Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power saving type electric deionized water making device which dispenses with addition of chemicals to condensed water, has reduced electric resistance by improvement of the structure, copes with increase in a quality of the water and the deterioration of the water quality of water to be treated and stably feeds water of high purity. SOLUTION: In the electric deionized water making device, a desalt room D1 is constituted by filling ion exchange bodies 8 into two small desalt rooms d1, d2 partitioned with a cation exchange membrane 3 at one side, an anion exchange membrane 4 at the other side, and an intermediate ion exchange membrane 5 in the middle. Concentration rooms 1 are formed at both sides of the desalt room D1 via the exchange membranes 3, 4, the desalt room D1 and the concentration room 1 are arranged between an anode 7 and a cathode 6, the desalt room d2 is connected to an outflow pipe 12, the desalt room d1 is connected to an inflow pipe 13, and a pressure pump 25 is disposed in piping connecting the two small desalt rooms, and the water to be treated is allowed to flow in the desalt room d2 at one side under application of voltage, and outflow water of the desalt room d2 is allowed to flow in the desalt room d1 at the other side, and under pressure of P3 >= pressure of P1 and pressure of P4 >=pressure of P2, concentrated water is allowed to flow in the concentration room 1 and impurities in the water to be treated are removed and the deionized water is made.
