To provide a personal identification device that can preclude a risk of losing collating means by adopting only fingerprint digitization, and easily acquire fingerprint information.
The personal identification device 1 comprises means A1 for reading an individual's fingerprint, means B1 for converting the fingerprint information and/or personal information or attribute information to a two-dimensional bar code format, means C1 for printing the two-dimensional bar code, means D1 for reading in a two-dimensional bar code label affixed to an object to be collated, means E1 for collating the individual's fingerprint and the fingerprint information in the two-dimensional bar code affixed to the object to be collated, and means F1 for printing the fingerprint collation results.
