To provide a mounting structure for a sliding resistance substrate in a switch for an electric tool in which the cost reduction can be realized by reducing the number of components when the switch for an electric tool is assembled and which can be easily mounted to the electric tool.
An external circuit connection terminal is made as a connector. The connector 16 is connected to the sliding resistance substrate. An opening part 17 is formed to a housing 12. The sliding resistance substrate is arranged to the inside of the opening part. The connector connected to the sliding resistance substrate is arranged to the outside of the opening part. Consequently, the cost reduction can be realized by reducing the number of components when the switch 1 for an electric tool is assembled. The switch for an electric tool can be easily mounted to the electric tool.
