To provide a mobile body installation that can avoid collisions between mobile bodies by a simple structure.
In the mobile body installation, a plurality of mobile bodies 3a and 3b are provided with respective driving amount detection means RE1 and RE2 for detecting driving amount by traveling drive means SM1, AMP1, SM2 and AMP2, and a distance monitoring control means W for monitoring the distance between the mobile bodies is configured to determine whether or not travel position information is appropriate about each mobile body according to a correspondence between a predicted travel movement acquired from drive information C1, C2 detected by the drive detection means and an actual travel movement acquired from travel position information D1, D2 detected by a travel position detection means DET1, DET2, then determine whether or not the mobile bodies are spaced at least at a preset allowable distance according to appropriate travel position information about a plurality of mobile bodies found to be appropriate, and stop the travel of all the mobile bodies if determining that the mobile bodies are not spaced at least at the allowable distance.
