To provide a curved surface image processor capable of performing rendering at higher speed and with higher quality in image processing using NURBS data.
The curved surface image processor 100 is provided with a data input part 101 for inputting the NURBS data, a coordinate transformation part 102 for performing coordinate transformation to the NURBS data, an animation control part 103 for controlling pieces of animation data of the respective drawing frames, a data transformation part 104 for transforming the NURBS data into rational Bezier data, a curved surface patch separation processing part 105 for subdividing a rational Bezier curved surface patch, a normal line calculation part 106 for calculating normal vectors to control points of the curved surface patch after separation, a perspective transformation part 107 for performing perspective transformation to the curved surface patch after separation, and a rendering processing part 108 for performing rendering processing to the curved surface patch.
