To provide an image forming apparatus wherein position adjustment can be easily carried out even after an exposure means for forming an electrostatic latent image by scanning laser beams is installed, and a precision of an exposure position of the laser beams can be stably improved.
A pair of position adjustment means 39 are fitted between a mounting bracket 33 with an exposure head 21 fixedly placed thereat, and side face frames 37 set at both sides of the mounting bracket 33. The position adjustment means 39 are set at a starting end side Ls and an ending end side Le of an ejection region of the laser beams, respectively. Securing parts 36 projecting at both sides of the mounting bracket 33 are inserted in securing holes 38 of the side face frames 37. The securing part 36 is caught by a cam face of a cam member of the position adjustment means 39 and an exciting member. By rotating the cam members, the securing parts 36 move the mounting bracket 33 up and down and adjust an up-down position of the mounting bracket, whereby tilting of a scanning line S of the laser beams is adjusted.
