Abstract:

To provide a langatate single-crystal substrate having characteristics proper for a sensor and the surface acoustic-wave sensor using the substrate.

In the substrate for the surface acoustic-wave sensor, the piezoelectric-body substrate having a working temperature range of 100°C or higher is used, and formed of a langatate (La3Ga5.5Ta0.5014; LGT) single crystal. In the substrate, the azimuth of the surface of the substrate is kept within a range of (0°≤ϕ<10°, 80°<θ<100° and -20°<ψ<20°) by an Euler-angle display. The substrate is used as the sensor for a temperature measuring or the like.
