To provide an auxiliary chamber type internal combustion engine capable of feeding a proper amount of fuel to an auxiliary combustion chamber in accordance with the driving conditions.
The auxiliary chamber type internal combustion engine 1 is provided with combustion chambers (63, 61), a fuel feed part 30 and a control part 40. The combustion chambers (63, 61) comprise a main combustion chamber 63 and an auxiliary combustion chamber 61. The auxiliary combustion chamber 61 is next to the main combustion chamber 63 and communicating with the main combustion chamber 63. The fuel feed part 30 feeds fuel to the auxiliary combustion chamber 61 via a check valve 33. The check valve 33 opens when the pressure difference between the fuel and the combustion chamber is the boundary value or more and closes when the pressure difference between the fuel and the combustion chamber is less than the boundary value. The control part 40 controls the pressure of the combustion chambers (63, 61) so as to be smaller by the boundary value or more than the pressure of the fuel in accordance with the driving conditions.
