To provide an apparatus and a method for recycling waste concrete by utilizing an asphalt plant, in each of which crushed concrete having ≥5 mm particle size can be heated efficiently by using an existing new material dryer.
This apparatus for recycling waste concrete is constituted so that the crushed concrete sorted to have ≥5 mm particle size is thrown/heated in the existing new material dryer 11 of the asphalt plant to make brittle cement paste in the crushed concrete and recover a coarse aggregate from the crushed concrete. Heating medium supplying means 211, 212 are arranged for supplying a heating medium, which has the heat resistance enough to be heated together with the crushed concrete in the new material dryer 11 and <5 mm particle size, to the side of the new material dryer 11.
