To enable an efficient and stable solidification treatment of aggregate obtained by pretreating sludge in a pressure classifier and a sludge treatment method using it; to enable continuous conversion of the aggregate into hard solidified material while separating moisture.
The classifier which receives almost agar-like aggregate obtained by kneading cement-containing sludge with a coagulant liquid, or the aggregate from which a part of moisture has been separated and removed, and separates moisture by pressurizing it to convert it into the hard solidified material comprises a horizontally long casing 51 communicating back and forth, a lid body 52 for closing the front opening of the casing so as to be openable and closable, a pressurizing body 53 slidably inserted into the casing 51, a driving means 54 of which one end is connected to the back of the pressurizing body 53, and which moves the pressurizing body forward at a prescribed pressing speed and moves it backward from the most advanced position to a standby position, and an opening and closing means 56 which maintaining the lid body 52 in a closed state, and switches to an opening state.
