Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network system that can prevent dissidence between contents of path information possessed by a router and an actual operating/ inoperative form of the router. SOLUTION: The network system is configured with a LAN switch 100, routers 210-240 and a user terminal 300. The LAN switch 100 comprises a switching control section 110 that stores an IP address and switching gateways(GWs) 120 and 130. Each of the routers 210-240 respectively forms each of routing tables 211-241. The switching GW 120 is used for an active system and the switching GW 130 is used for an inactive system to control transfer/non-transfer of a received packet by them. The switching control section 110 monitors the normality of a path to a terminal 300 being a communication destination to detect a communication fault so as to switch the active/inactive system of the switches and switch a default route to a redundant configuration router of the control section in a device without a path control function.
