Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biologically pure cultured product of a new Bacillus thuringiensis strain excellent in insecticidal activity by producing CryIA(C) in a larger amount than that of CryIA(a) or in a large amount than that of CryIA(b) produced by the strain. SOLUTION: This biologically pure cultured product of Bacillus thuringiensis strain which is S197, S3158, S3159, S3212 or F810 capable of producing CryIA(c) in a larger amount than that of CryIA(a) or in a large amount than that of CryIA(b) produced by the strain. The CryIA(c) can be produced in an amount of at least 50% based on the total amount of the CryIA type proteins produced by the strain. An insecticidal factor selected from the group consisting of the Bacillus thuringiensis strain, a spore derived from the strain and a crystal toxin is preferably included to produce an insecticidal composition.
