To provide a fuel cell separator capable of reducing the thicknesses of a separator, while securing strength and simplifying handling at lamination, and to provide a manufacturing method for a fuel cell using this.
This fuel cell separator is provided with separator bodies 11, 12 wherein electrode reaction surfaces 11a, 12a are formed in parts facing an anode 5 or a cathode 6 of the fuel cell 1, an outer peripheral part 13 made of resin interposed between the separator bodies 11, 12 arranged mutually opposite to each other, to surround the outside of the electrode reaction surfaces 11a, 12a; and elastic members 14, 15 provided in a part ranging over the outer peripheral part 13 and the separator bodies 11, 12 and joining them. Communication holes 21-24 for making the reactive gas of the fuel cell 1 communicate are formed through the outer peripheral part 13. In the outer peripheral part 13, flow channels 31, 32 of reactive gas are formed over a sidewall surface 16, forming the communication holes 21-24 and electrode reaction surfaces 11a, 12a.
