In an inter-vehicle communication system comprising a plurality of wireless communication units mounted on vehicles and performing wireless communication with each other, the wireless communication unit repeats communication data by transmitting the communication data to other wireless communication unit presumed to be located in its own wireless communication area when performing the actual repeat processing when the wireless communication unit of communication partner is not located in its own wireless communication area.
