To provide a recording device for recording so that the eyes of a user can easily follow up movement of a cursor during reproduction of a captured image obtained by capturing an operation screen.
The device includes a storage unit 27 storing the captured image obtained by capturing the screen; a display area division unit 18 dividing the screen into sections; a cursor moving distance calculation unit 14 calculating a moving distance of the cursor on the basis of cursor position information indicating the position of the cursor that is a pointing device on the screen; a moving distance accumulation unit 16 calculating an accumulation moving distance on the basis of the moving distance; a target moving distance setting unit 17 setting a target moving distance of the cursor for each section; a captured image extraction unit 21 extracting the captured image from a storage unit 27; and a captured image storage unit 10 recording an extracted captured image.
