To inexpensively obtain a clip by which a mounting member can be mounted in a mounted member or dismounted from the mounted member.
When a large-diameter part 52 of an inserting part 48 reaches a projection 32, the projection 32 is engaged with the large-diameter part 52 to restrict the axial movement of a pin 18, wherein a leg piece 22 is pressed to an inner edge of a mounting hole 10A of a body panel 10. Thereby, an engine cover 14 and the body panel 10 are surely held between an overhanging part 20 and the leg piece 22 to mount the engine cover 14 in the body panel 10. When a pin 18 is pressed into the depth of a grommet 16 in this state, the projection 32 of the leg piece 22 is engaged with a small-diameter part 54 of a shaft part 42 to restore the leg piece 22. In this state, the leg piece 22 can be passed through the mounting holes 10A, 14A and then the clip 12 can be dismounted from the engine cover 14 and body panel 10 and the engine cover 14 can be dismounted from the body panel 10.
