Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the partial pressure of hydrogen in a gas containing hydrogen. SOLUTION: An alkali metal lump 13 formed by coating sodium with a coating film 18 is provided in an alkali metal storage part 12 of a hydrogen enriching part 10. When water is supplied to the alkali metal storage part 12 from a water tank 24 and the alkali metal lump 13 is damaged, sodium and water reacts with each other to produce hydrogen and sodium hydroxide. An aqueous solution, in which sodium hydroxide is dissolved, is sent to an alkali aqueous solution storage part 14 and a reformed gas is passed through the sodium hydroxide aqueous solution to reduce the quantity of carbon dioxide in the reformed gas. The reformed gas, in which the quantity of carbon dioxide is reduced, is mixed with hydrogen produced by the reaction and supplied to a fuel cell through a fuel gas supply passage 66 as a fuel gas.
