To use an image forming apparatus which surely satisfies a required condition out of a plurality of image forming apparatuses constituting an image forming system as equipment to be used for printing.
When a printing management server 30 receives a printing request including document data and the required condition (printing condition, equipment selecting condition) from a PC 20, it acquires the properties from respective MFPs 10, and calculates power consumption classified by the respective MFPs 10 on the basis of the printing condition and the properties of the respective MFPs 10 according to calculation programs classified by the respective MFPs 10, which are stored and held in advance, and then selects any of the respective MFPs 10 as the equipment used for printing on the basis of the result of the calculation and the equipment selecting condition.
