Abstract:
A process for preparing 3-vinyl-cephem compound of the formula (2), the process comprising the step of treating protected 3-vinyl-cephem derivative of the formula (1) in an organic solvent in the presence of perhalogenated acid and an organic protonic acid wherein each of R<1>, R<2> and R<3> is a hydrogen atom or arylmethyl group optionally having a substituent, provided that R<1>, R<2> and R<3> can not be a hydrogen atom at the same time.
