To provide a block for a side ditch, which is suitable for drainage from a drainage pavement, can be easily manufactured, and can restrain sand, oils and fats, etc., from intruding into the side ditch.

In this block 10 for the side ditch, an under surface 30b of a water-intake hole 30 is inclined to a lower end 32b of an inner opening 32 from a lower end 31b of an outer opening 31 so as to be reversely sloped upward. The hole 30, which can be manufactured under a state in which an auxiliary form for molding is mounted on an outer form, can be provided with an area 36 in which the sand and the like can be trapped.
