In a high performance filter 24 provided with the filter medium 50 and a frame body 51 surrounding the peripheral edge of the filter medium 50, the filter medium 50 is constituted so as to be freely bent in a pleat shape from a roughly planar shape, the filter medium 50 is provided freely attachably and detachably in the state of being bent in the pleat shape on the frame body 51, and projections 54A and 54B as regulation members for regulating the interval of folding peaks at the time of bending the filter medium 50 in the pleat shape are provided on both front and back surfaces of the filtering medium 50.
