Abstract:

To guarantee the security of transaction to be performed among users, by utilizing a communications network.

A transaction document M, describing the contents of transaction between users A and B, is created and an electronic signature SA(M) of user A and an electronic signature SB(M) of user B for the document are created. Then, the signatures are sent to the notary equipment of notary public N, together with the transaction document M, and the users A and B and the notary public N share the information. Thus, the notary public N, who is the third-party, can objectively prove the contents and the like of the transaction.
