Abstract:
To control license information for decoding and improve convenience.
A license control device 20 invalidates encrypting individual identifier IDuOin a license management DB 21 according to a cancel command including new contents attribute information Dc1, Dc3received from a personal computer 10, and associates a new individual identifier IDu1with new contents attribute information Dc1, Dc3. Furthermore, the device 20 invalidates an encrypted individual identifier Encid(KmuAO, IDu0) in a secure recording medium MAO, and writes a new encryption individual identifier Encid(KmuAO, IDu1) and new encrypted contents keys Encid(IDu1, Kc1) and Encid(IDu1, Kc3) corresponding to new contents attribute information into the recording medium MAO.
