Abstract:

To provide a solid-liquid separator with superior discharge performance of fine solid, leaving no solid attached to a wedge wire screen surface, efficiently preventing clogging, and particularly effective when used for a thickener of sludge.

Drive chains 9, 9a of a scraper 13 travel within travel guides 18, 18a only in a traveling region where the scraper 13 rises. A rotary brush 25 is rotatably held between rotary brush drive chains 23, 23a, and drive gears 26, 26a are mounted on a brush shaft 25a of the rotary brush 25. The gears 26, 26a rotate by action of racks 27, 27a when the rotary brush 25 rises or lowers to remove clogging of the screen 3 from its rear side by brushing. A pressing force of blades 12 of the scraper 13 onto a screen 2 is adjustable.
