Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chamfered form, in the neck of an element, which gives as much alleviated load and damage as possible to a ring component used in combination with the element. SOLUTION: A round shape chamfering is provided by press working on the corner edge 4a at the side of the neck 4. For the form of such a part 8 that is chamfered in round shape, the working is made in such a way that while the depth of chamfering D is kept constant, the radius of curvature is gradually made smaller as chamfering spreads out from the middle part in the direction of the height at the neck 4, moving towards the saddle 2 and the ear 3.
